In warehouses or distribution centers, pallets are moved from the incoming goods receiving area to the storage area, several times a day. Typically, a forklift transports one or several pallets from the goods receiving area to the end of the aisles, where forklifts can store the pallets in a high stack.
These transportation processes include the collection and transfer of the pallets from goods receiving areas, transportation within the building for short or long distances and finally transfer to the goods exit area from the site. Manual operators are usually required to travel long distances and often move on to the next task without moving any surface at all
Ideal for transporting surfaces at a low height, easily integrates into the work environment and enables for the first time cooperation between humans and robots in a shared workspace.
At the end of the manufacturing process, finished products are moved to another location, such as a storage area, pallet wrappers, quality control, packaging, or pre-shipment storage areas. All these logistic transportation processes can be managed by a robotic forklift. A BALYO communication box can be connected to the production machines or to external sensors to create automatic transport tasks for forklifts.
